Police Seek Information in Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crash

Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred in Adelphi, Maryland.


On August 22, 2010, at approximately 8:49 p.m., officers responded to the 2200 block of University Boulevard for a report of a vehicle crash with a pedestrian. When officers arrived, they found 40 year-old Jose Daniel Cubias-Rivera lying unconscious in the roadway. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police are seeking information on the striking vehicle.


The striking vehicle is described as a dark colored 4-door sedan. The vehicle resembles a Toyota Camry.
