The Prince George's County Police Department's Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Bladensburg. The victim is identified as 59-year-old Peter Kehinde Adegbite of Quincy Place in Bladensburg.
On May 3, 2014, at about 9:00 pm, patrol officers responded to the 4500 block of Landover Road. When they arrived, they found Adegbite in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The preliminary investigation reveals that Adegbite walked into the path of a car that was heading southbound on Landover Road. He had not been in a crosswalk. The driver stayed on the scene.
