PGPD Investigates Homicide in Oxon Hill

Updated May 7, 2014: The victim is identified as 20-year-old Samuel Cheadle, of the 1000 block of 14th Street in Southeast Washington.

The Prince George's County Police Department is investigating a homicide in Oxon Hill.

On May 7, 2014, at about 1:15 am, patrol officers heard gunshots and responded to the 4900 block of Maury Place.  They found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.  He was pronounced dead on the scene.  Detectives are still working to identify the victim.

Detectives are working to establish a motive and identify the suspect(s) in this case.
