PGPD Investigates Murder of Young Girl in Landover

Updated August 11, 2014: The victim is three-year-old Knijah Amore Bibb of Harvard Street in Northwest Washington. Please call us with any information on where we can find the suspect, Davon Wallace. Updated August 10, 2014:  Homicide detectives have identified and charged a suspect in connection with this murder. He's 25-year-old Davon Antwan Wallace of the 7000 block of E Kilmer Street in Landover. He's charged with first degree murder. The preliminary investigation reveals Wallace is an acquaintance of a resident in the home where the shooting took place. The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a murder in Landover. The victim is a three-year-old girl.

On August 10, 2014, at about 1:45 pm, patrol officers were called to the 6900 block of Forest Terrace for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim inside a home suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was rushed to a hospital, but sadly she died of her injuries. 

The preliminarily investigation reveals an argument between two men outside of the home escalated into a physical altercation. One of those men left and returned a short time later with a gun. The suspect fired several times into the home, hitting the child. Detectives do not believe she was the intended target. The suspect then fled from the area. 

Detectives are working to identify the suspect.
