PGPD Makes Quick Arrest in Domestic-Related Murder in Landover

Tor Chiumba Campbell

The Prince George's County Police Department arrested a suspect today in connection with Monday's domestic-related murder in Landover. The suspect is identified as 39-year-old Tor Chiumba Campbell of the 8500 block of Greenbelt Road.

On August 18, 2014, at approximately 9:10 am, patrol officers were called to the 6800 block of West Forest Road after receiving a call from a relative of the victim, Shauntelle Marie Lewis. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered Lewis unresponsive and suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Campbell is charged with first degree murder and other related charges in this case and is at the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.  The murder weapon has been recovered.  Detectives believe the suspect and the victim had recently been involved in a romantic relationship.
