PGPD Suspends Officer After DUI Charge

A Prince George’s County Police officer has had her police powers suspended after the Maryland State Police charged her with DUI on Saturday, November 1, 2014. Corporal Miriam Perez was off duty at the time of her arrest.

Our Special Investigation Response Team (SIRT) launched an administrative investigation immediately after learning of the arrest.  Corporal Perez is currently suspended with pay pending an administrative hearing.

The officer was not driving a departmental vehicle.

Corporal Perez has been employed by the PGPD for eight years and is currently assigned to the Bureau of Patrol.
