PGPD Arrests Suspect in Homicide of One-Year-Old Boy

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit arrested a suspect in connection with the homicide of a one-year-old boy. The suspect is 28-year-old Osman Sesay of the 6800 block of Riverdale Road in Riverdale. The victim is one-year old Ahmed Jalloh also of Riverdale Road. 

On August 1, 2015, at about 10:30 am, patrol officers were called to the 6800 block of Riverdale Road for the report of an unresponsive child. Jalloh was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The preliminary investigation reveals the victim's mother left the child in the suspect's care that morning when she went to work. The suspect and mother were in a romantic relationship. A few hours later, the suspect reported he found the child unresponsive. An autopsy revealed the cause of death as multiple blunt force injuries. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Washington DC ruled this a homicide.

Investigators arrested Sesay on August 26, 2015. He is charged with first degree murder and first degree child abuse. Sesay is currently in the custody of the Department of Corrections.  He is being held on a no bond status.
