Detectives Arrests Suspect in Capitol Heights Homicide

Homicide Unit detectives arrested the suspect in connection with this morning’s homicide in Capitol Heights. The suspect is 34-year-old Olayinka Kowobari of the 9400 block of Eugenia Park Street. The victim is 35-year-old Jodi Henry of Mary Place in Fort Washington. The suspect and victims were acquaintances.

The preliminary investigation reveals the suspect and victim got into a fight around 1:45 am at the suspect’s home in the 9400 block of Eugenia Park Street. During that fight, the suspect stabbed the victim. The victim was taken to a hospital by a witness where she died a short time later. Patrol officers took the suspect into custody at her home.

Kowobari is charged with first and second degree murder. She’s in custody of the Department of Corrections.
