PGPD Investigates Domestic-Related Murder/Suicide in College Park

The Homicide Unit is investigating a domestic-related murder/suicide in College Park. The victim is 19-year-old Farhad Siddique of 48th Avenue. The suspect is 57-year-old Nasir Siddique of the 1200 block of Mikara Court in Bel Air, MD. The suspect is the victim’s father.

On September 28th, at about 10:30 pm, officers with the Prince George’s County Police Department and the University of Maryland Police Department were called to a parking lot in the 8100 block of 48th Avenue for a welfare check. The victim, Farhad Siddique, had been reported missing to UMPD earlier in the evening. The victim and suspect were found suffering from gunshot wounds in the suspect’s vehicle. Both were pronounced dead on the scene. A weapon was recovered in the vehicle.

Detectives believe the father shot his son, then turned the weapon on himself.

Investigators in Harford County, MD, are investigating the murder of Siddique’s wife. It’s believed Nasir Siddique killed his wife at their home before travelling to Prince George’s County. Any questions regarding that investigation should be directed to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.
