Today at noon, detectives with our Homicide Unit will canvass
a Langley Park community where a man was fatally stabbed in July. The victim is
33-year-old Marvin Diaz-Marin of Jasmine Terrace in Hyattsville.
At about 5:00 pm on July 27th, patrol officers were called to
the 2000 block of University Boulevard to check on the welfare of a man.
Officers found the victim suffering from stab wounds to his body. He was
pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives
have released surveillance video of a suspect wanted in connection with this
homicide. On the video, the suspect is seen walking and then minutes later
running in the opposite direction.
The
canvass is set to begin at 12:00 pm today in the 2000 block of University
Boulevard.
