Detectives with our Homicide Unit are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday night in Glenarden. The victim is 29-year-old Brandon Dixon of District Heights.
Detectives with our Homicide Unit are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday night in Glenarden. The victim is 29-year-old Brandon Dixon of District Heights.
On September 3rd, at approximately 9:00 pm, officers with the Prince George’s County Police
Department, the Glenarden Police Department and officers with Maryland-National
Capital Park Police were called to the 8600 block of
McLain Avenue for the sound of
gunshots. When they arrived, they discovered Dixon suffering from
gunshot wounds near a basketball court at a community center which is on
Maryland-National Capital Park property. Dixon
was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced
dead.
Detectives are attempting to
identify a suspect(s) and a motive.
The Prince George’s County Police Department
investigates all homicides that fall within Maryland-National Capital Park
Police jurisdiction.

Detectives Investigan Mortal Balacera
en Glenarden
Detectives de nuestra Unidad de
Homicidios investigan una fatal balacera que tomó lugar en Glenarden el pasado
martes en la noche. La víctima fue identificada como Brandon Dixon, de 29 años
de edad y vecino de District Heights.
El 3 de septiembre, a eso de las 9:00
pm, oficiales del Departamento de la Policía del Condado de Prince George,
Departamento de la Policía de Glenarden y oficiales del Maryland-National
Capital Park Police acudieron a la cuadra 86pp de McLain Avenue ante una alerta
de disparos. Al llegar, hallaron a Dixon con heridas de bala cerca de una
cancha de baloncesto de un centro comunitario ubicado dentro de propiedad de
Maryland-National Capital Park. Dixon fue trasladado al hospital en donde le
declararon muerto.
