PGPD District IV Hosts Middleton Lane Neighborhood Watch Community

Prince George’s County, Maryland…District IV Commander, Major James A. Harper and the District IV COPS office joined community leaders for the Middleton Lane Neighborhood Watch Community in Camp Springs. The event was designed to maintain an open dialogue between the community and the police department by providing an opportunity for the District IV Command Staff to address the community’s concerns about crime and neighborhood safety.

The walk consisted of eight streets along the Middleton Lane Corridor. District IV COPS officers shared information with residents in the neighborhood about the “Summer Crime Initiative” as well as information educating the community on crime prevention and safety tips.

“What made this event a success was the collaborative effort between our police department and the community. This is crime fighting through community engagement,” said Major James Harper.
