PGPD Investigates Fatal Car Crash in Oxon Hill

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a fatal car crash in Oxon Hill.

On August 24, 2013, at approximately 3:30 am, patrol officers responded to the 7400 block of Indian Head Highway for the report of a crash involving four vehicles.  Upon arrival, patrol officers found an unresponsive man in one of the cars.  He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The preliminary investigation suggests a car, driven by the deceased, was struck shortly after making a U-turn on Indian Head Highway.  The initial crash caused secondary collisions, involving a total of four vehicles.  Two people from other vehicles were transported to area hospitals for non-life threatening injuries.

Preliminary, alcohol and speed appear to be factors in this ongoing investigation.
