The Prince George’s County Police Department is teaming up with the Maryland State Police this holiday weekend. Police officers and troopers are joining forces to focus on stopping impaired drivers as well as traffic and crime enforcement. Specialized units will also be looking for illegal guns as part of the PGPD’s summer strategy, “Following the Firearm.”
The targeted Labor Day weekend enforcement will focus on Prince George’s County Police Districts I, III and IV. Those areas cover College Park, Landover, Suitland and Oxon Hill among others.
The joint operation will run from August 29-31, 2013.
