PGPD Releases Video of Robbery Suspects

The Prince George’s County Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspects seen in the above surveillance video. They are wanted for the robbery of a courier in Forestville.

On August 22, 2013, at about 10:40 am, patrol officers were called to the Sun Trust Bank in the 3500 block of Donnell Drive for a robbery.  The preliminary investigation suggests several suspects working together followed and robbed a man as he was walking towards the bank.  The primary suspect, seen in the above surveillance photograph, approached the victim and struggled briefly over a bag containing an undisclosed amount of money.  After grabbing the bag of money, the suspect, and a secondary suspect acting as a lookout, returned to an older model green sedan and were driven away by a third suspect.  Detectives believe these suspects have committed similar robberies around the area.

We would like to remind citizens to remain vigilant when approaching and exiting financial institutions.  Always be aware of your surroundings, and please report suspicious activity to 911.

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of these suspects is asked to please call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s CID/Robbery Unit at (301) 772-4905.  Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477), text “PGPD plus your crime tip” to CRIMES (274637) on your cell phone or go to www.pgcrimesolvers.com and submit a tip online.
