PGPD Investigates Sexual Assaults

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating two separate sexual assaults committed by the same suspect near Chillum.

On October 29, 2013, at about 1:15 pm, a man approached two women in the 6700 block of Belcrest Road. The suspect pulled out a handgun and forced the women into a nearby wooded area. The suspect demanded property from the women and then sexually assaulted one of them. During the assault, the suspect was startled and ran away.

A short time later and less than 100 yards away, the same suspect approached two males and one female. He again pulled out a handgun and demanded property from the victims. The suspect then sexually assaulted the female victim and then ran away.

Patrol officers, assisted by a police helicopter and several K9 teams, began an intense search for the suspect. The suspect currently remains at large and is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 30 years old, 5’6” to 5’10”, with a slim build.  He was last seen wearing camouflage pants and a red baseball cap with black or blue brim.
