PGPD Seeking Community’s Help to ID Murder Suspect

It's been nearly 48 hours since the senseless murder of 27-year-old Jesse Chavez. He was shot and killed during a robbery of an Oxon Hill hotel late Monday night. Detectives released clear surveillance video of the suspect committing the robbery. Despite intense media coverage and a strong social media push, homicide detectives have received no tips from the community. "The first 48-hours are critical in any homicide investigation. We really need our community to help us identify this murderer. We want to bring a sense of comfort to Mr. Chavez's family," said Captain George Nichols, assistant commander of the Criminal Investigation Division.

We urge our community to please take a look at these pictures of the suspect and the getaway car. We also ask that you share these pictures via social media. If you have any information about this case, no matter how small, please call our Crime Solvers Tip Line at 1-866-411-TIPS.You do not need to give your name.
