Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting in Landover

Detectives with our Homicide Unit are conducting an investigation into the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Oscar Alaniz-Gurdian
 
of Landover, Maryland. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Tipsters will never have to give their name.

On December 6, 2019 at approximately 10:30 pm, officers from the Prince George’s County Police and Maryland National Capital Park Police were called to the 2400 block Pinebrook Avenue for a report of a shooting on Maryland National Capital Park and Planning property.  Once on scene, they discovered Alaniz-Gurdian with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.   He was pronounced dead on the scene. 

Detectives are looking to identify a suspect(s) and a motive. 

The Prince George’s County Police Department investigates all homicides that occur within the jurisdiction of Maryland National Capital Park Police.

Detectives Investigan Mortal Tiroteo en Landover

Detectives de nuestra Unidad de Homicidios se encuentran investigando el asesinato a tiros de Oscar Alaniz-Gurdian, de 26 años de edad y vecino del área de Landover. Se ofrece una recompensa de hasta $25,000 por cualquier información conducente a un arresto y convicción en este caso. Nunca se requerirá que quienes provean información tengan que dar su nombre.

El 6 de diciembre, a eso de las 10:30pm, oficiales del Departamento de la Policía del Condado de Prince George’s y oficiales de la Policía de Parques Nacionales del Estado de Maryland acudieron a la cuadra 2400 de Pinebrook Avenue tras recibir información sobre un tiroteo en predios del Departamento de Planificación y Parques Nacionales. Una vez allí, hallaron a Alaniz-Gurdian con múltiples heridas de bala a lo largo de todo el cuerpo. A éste le declararon muero en la escena.

En estos momentos nuestros detectives buscan identificar posibles sospechosos y establecer el motivo del delito.

El Departamento de la Policía del Condado de Prince George’s investiga todo homicidio que ocurra dentro de la jurisdicción de la Policía de Parques Nacionales del Estado de Maryland.
