PGPD Investigates Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Oxon Hill

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in Oxon Hill. The victim is 32-year-old Raymond Newman III of Trowbridge Place in Fort Washington.

On March 2, 2016, at about 5:10 pm, patrol officers were called to National Harbor Boulevard for a crash involving a motorcycle. When they arrived, the officers found Newman suffering from critical injuries. He was taken to a hospital where he died several hours later. No other vehicles were involved.

The preliminary investigation reveals Newman was traveling north on National Harbor Boulevard when, for reasons which remain under investigation, he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a light pole.
