PGPD Investigating Fatal Stabbing

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in Suitland Friday night. The victim is 31-year-old Troy Cager of Capitol Heights.

On March 20, 2026, at approximately 11:05 pm, Prince George’s County Sheriff Deputies responded to the 3900 block of Suitland Road for a domestic dispute. Once on scene, deputies located an adult male inside a home suffering from a stab wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

 

Detectives have identified all parties involved and are working in conjunction with the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office regarding the investigation.

PGPD Announces Graduation of Academy Session 154

The Prince George’s County Police Department is pleased to announce the graduation of Session 154 from the Prince George's County Police Department’s Police Training Academy.

Of the 38 graduates, 23 will join us here at the Prince George’s County Police Department. The remaining 15 will join the ranks of multiple partner law enforcement agencies within the county.

We congratulate the members of Session 154, as well as their family and friends, and look forward to celebrating their accomplishments!

PGPD Investigating Fatal Crash Involving Moped

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash involving a moped. The deceased moped rider is 28-year-old Edwin Castillo-Jiminez of Hyattsville.
 
On March 14, 2026, at approximately 10:20 pm, officers responded to the area of Bladensburg Road at 40^th Place in Brentwood. Castillo-Jiminez was transported to a hospital where he died of his injuries on March 17, 2026.
 
The preliminary investigation suggests, for reasons now under investigation, Castillo-Jiminez lost control of his moped and collided with a pickup truck. No one inside of the truck was hurt.

PGPD Investigating Armed Robbery at Convenience Store; Employee Stabbed by Suspects

The Robbery Unit is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying the suspects who robbed a Fort Washington business and critically injured an employee. A cash reward is available for information leading to arrests and indictments in this case.

On March 7, 2026, at approximately 1:50 am, three male suspects targeted the convenience store in the 7000 block of Allentown Road. During the robbery, one of the suspects stabbed an employee causing critical injuries.

PGPD Arrests Driver Following Illegal Car Rally With Stolen Gun in Car

Officers assigned to the District VI – Beltsville station arrested and charged a driver from Virginia who participated in an illegal car rally this weekend in the unincorporated section of Laurel. During a traffic stop, officers located a loaded firearm in his car. The weapon had been reported stolen. The suspect is 20-year-old Diego Emmanuel Guerra of Woodbridge, VA.
 
On March 13, 2026, at approximately 11:30 pm, officers responded to the 14400 block of Cherry Lane for the report of an illegal car rally. Officers observed approximately 100 vehicles taking part and subsequently dispersed the rally. Officers stopped one vehicle nearby which was being driven by Guerra. The gun recovered from inside of the car had been reported stolen out of Texas.

The suspect is charged with multiple handgun charges to include being in possession of a loaded handgun and being in possession of a stolen firearm.

He was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.
 
"This arrest again reinforces this agency’s unwavering message that illegal car rallies are dangerous. In this case, we recovered a gun that had been reported stolen. Do not come into our jurisdiction and take part in these illegal rallies. We intend to continue to make arrests,” said Chief Nader, Prince George’s County Police.

PGPD Investigating Fatal Crash in Brandywine

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash in Brandywine. The deceased driver is 60-year-old Tony Andrea Johnson of Brandywine.

On March 14, 2026, at approximately 6:05 pm, officers responded to a crash at Brandywine Road at Letcher Road involving two vehicles. Johnson died at the scene. The second involved driver suffered injuries not considered life-threatening.

The preliminary investigation suggests Johnson was traveling northbound on Brandywine Road, when for reasons now under investigation, he appears to have lost control of his vehicle. His vehicle ultimately collided with the second vehicle.

PGPD Officer & Two Former Officers Charged

The Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office charged one current and two former Prince George’s County police officers. Corporal Timothy Green is charged with two counts of misconduct in office and one count of conspiracy to commit misconduct. Former officer Sierra Alston is charged with one count of misconduct in office and three counts of conspiracy to commit misconduct. Former officer Gerald Briscoe is charged with four counts of misconduct in office and one count of conspiracy to commit misconduct.
 
Alston and Briscoe joined the PGPD in 2023. Alston was initially suspended in October of 2024. Briscoe was suspended in March of 2025. Green was suspended in June of 2025.
 
Alston separated from the agency in December 2025. Briscoe separated from the department in February 2026. Green joined the agency in 2015. He is currently on military leave.

PGPD Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Lanham

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision which recently occurred in Lanham. The deceased pedestrian is 79-year-old Becky Lynn Steele of Greenbelt.

On March 3, 2026, at approximately 6:55 pm, officers responded to a collision involving a pedestrian on Annapolis Road at Ellerbie Street. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment where she died on March 7, 2026.
 
The preliminary investigation revealed a driver struck the victim in the eastbound lanes of Annapolis Road. The driver remained on the scene and was not injured.

PGPD Charges Suspect With Sexually Assaulting Multiple Women; Suspect Linked to Cases in Several Jurisdictions

The Prince George’s County Police Department charged a man with sexually assaulting multiple women over a two-year span. The suspect is 30-year-old Timothy Valentin of Fort Washington. He goes by the aliases “Rico” and “Teo”. He is currently in custody in Alexandria, VA, where he also faces charges.

In late January 2026, the Alexandria Police Department contacted the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Special Crime Division – Sexual Assault Unit regarding Valentin. APD’s investigation identified potential cases in Prince George’s County. The PGPD immediately launched an extensive investigation which has now resulted in charges against Valentin in connection with six survivors in our county. The survivors are all adults. The crimes took place in various locations in Prince George’s County between 2024 and 2025. The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect met the women he targeted on dating apps or in person. During a date, the survivor would consume alcohol and once incapacitated, the suspect would sexually assault her.

Missing Man Found

Dereck Robbins

The Prince George’s County Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in finding a missing man. He is identified as 69-year-old Dereck Robbins. Mr. Robbins was last seen on March 5, 2026, at approximately 11:30 am in the 2000 block of Ray Leonard Road in Landover.

Mr. Robbins is approximately 5'6" tall and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a Redskins jacket and black pants.

PGPD Investigating Fatal Shooting in Riverdale Area

Homicide Unit detectives are actively investigating a fatal shooting in the Riverdale area. The victim is 42-year-old Francisco Martinez Enriquez of no fixed address. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

 

On March 3, 2026, at approximately 6:50 pm, the victim’s body was located outside in the 6800 block of Patterson Street. On Wednesday, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the victim’s cause of death to be a gunshot wound and the manner of death a homicide.

 

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).
