Media Availability - PGPD Investigates Citizen Armed Robbery of Elderly Woman


The Prince George’s County Police Department’s District I Investigative Section is investigating a citizen armed robbery where the victim, an 84 year-old woman, was robbed in the 7900 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Langley Park, Maryland.  The investigation revealed that the female suspect led the victim to believe she was helping her, and several small children, in a time of need.  The suspect then implied she had a gun and ordered the victim to withdraw a large sum from the bank. Investigators are actively searching for the suspect.  Members of the media are invited to speak to the victim and detectives.  The victim's identity MUST be concealed.  Surveillance video and still shots will be provided on site.
