On January 20, 2012, at
approximately 10:00 a.m., detectives received a call from the victim who said
he was contacted by a “Good Samaritan” that said they found their dog,
Cody. Detectives met with the victim and
the “Good Samaritan” at a neutral location where Cody was reunited with his
family.
On December 12, 2011, the
victim left his dog inside of his vehicle in the 6500 block of Sheriff Road . When the victim returned to his vehicle, he
found it had been stolen with the dog still inside. The vehicle was recovered a short time later
at a nearby location, but without the dog.
The investigation into the theft of the vehicle is still ongoing.
