Prince George’s County, Maryland…
The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a
homicide that occurred yesterday afternoon in Capitol Heights, Maryland.
On January 5, 2012, at
approximately 2:18 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 2000 block of Brooks
Drive to check on the welfare of an unresponsive male. Upon arrival, officers found 19 year old
Darryl Nicholas McCoy, of the 3500
block of Silver Park Drive in Suitland, lying near the parking lot of an
apartment complex suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives are currently working to identify
a suspect(s) and motive in this case.
