Police Investigate Murder in Fort Washington


Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the murder of 26- year-old Matthew Cedric Bovell in Fort Washington, Maryland.    

On April 7, 2012, at approximately 6:57 a.m., patrol officers located Bovell lying in a driveway in the 7300 block of Webster Turn, suffering from a gunshot wound.  Bovell, of the 700 block of Bricker Drive, Fort Washington, Maryland, was pronounced dead on the scene. 

Preliminarily, it appears Bovell was in the process of stealing property off a vehicle, when he was shot by an unknown person.  Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and a motive in this case.
