Police Investigate Homicide in Fort Washington

Prince George’s County Maryland… The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a homicide in Fort Washington, Maryland.

On August 6, 2011, at approximately 2:20 a.m., patrol officers responded to the 13000 block of Pendleton Street for a fight at a large party. When the officers arrived, they discovered that the crowd had dispersed. The police were then dispatched to a local hospital for an assault report. Upon arrival, officers were informed that the victim, Elijah Muhammad Turner, 21, of the 4000 block of 13th Street, S.E., Washington, DC, was driven to the hospital by an acquaintance after suffering severe head trauma while attending a party on Pendleton Street.

As a result from the injuries received from the assault, Turner was pronounced dead on August 8, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and establish a motive in this case.
