Police Make Quick Arrest in Homicide in Laurel

Prince George’s County Maryland… The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a homicide that occurred in Laurel, Maryland.
On August 27, 2011, at approximately 1:00 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 10100 block of Bignonia Drive for a report of a shooting.  When they arrived, 52 year old Glenn Albert Herzog, of the 10100 block of Bignonia Drive, was located inside of the residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  He was pronounced dead on the scene.
During the course of the investigation, an acquaintance of the victim was developed as the suspect.  At approximately 6:00 p.m. yesterday evening, 56 year-old Jack Sherman Rosenberg of the 5100 block of Poplar Place, Warrenton, Virginia, turned himself into police.  He has been charged with first degree murder and remanded to the Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro on a no bond status.  An argument between the victim and the suspect appears to be the motive in this case.
