The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Temple Hills. Investigators are working to identify the adult male victim so his family can be notified.
On
February 12th, at approximately 11:45 pm, patrol officers were
called to the area of St. Barnabas Road near 28th Avenue for a collision
involving a pedestrian. Responding officers found the victim suffering from
critical injuries. He was taken to a hospital where he died a short time later.
The
preliminary investigation reveals the victim was crossing St. Barnabas Road
when he was struck by a pickup truck in the westbound lanes. The victim was
then struck by a second car. Preliminarily, it appears the victim was not in a
crosswalk or a signalized intersection when he was struck.
Both
