Members
of the Prince George’s County Police Department’s District IV Station are
mourning the loss of a dear friend. Ms. Nancy Tufts passed away Sunday,
September 16th, at her Tantallon home. She was 102 years old.
District
IV detectives first befriended Ms. Tufts early last summer while investigating
a rash of burglaries in the Fort Washington area. From that moment, several
Prince George’s County Police detectives began returning for visits and to help
restore the garden and property at her historic home. http://goo.gl/isojq
The
family of Ms. Tufts invited District IV police officers to serve as
pallbearers, a gesture that symbolizes the endearing friendship and gratitude
she had for the police department. She will be buried at St. John's Episcopal Church. Information for the memorial service is provided below.
