On September
8th, 2012, the Prince George’s County Police Department held its first
Heroes Gala recognizing the 51 law enforcement officers who have lost their
lives in Prince George’s County. Twenty-seven of the fallen served the
Prince George's County Police Department. The remaining 24 represented 12
allied agencies at the local, state and federal levels. Hundreds attended
the event at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in the
National Harbor. The fallen officers and their families are in our
thoughts. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
