Detectives Arrest Two Suspects in Targeted Robbery and Murder of Osama El-Atari

Updated March 29, 2016: A third suspect is in custody in connection with this fatal shooting. He's 48-year-old Donald Deon Clay of the 12000 block of Reserve Lane in Manassas. Clay conspired with two other suspects to rob the victim. Those two suspects were arrested in February. Clay is charged with first and second degree murder. He is in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no bond status.

The Prince George’s County Police Department arrested two suspects in connection with a fatal shooting in Upper Marlboro this past Saturday. The suspects are 29-year-old Eric Garris of the 12000 block of Derek Place in Waldorf and 26-year-old Taqwa Muhammad of the 8400 block of Stock Drive in Lusby.
On February 13, 2016, around 3:40 pm, patrol officers were called to the 9000 block of Armstrong Lane. The victim, Osama El-Atari of Leesburg, was found inside of his pickup truck suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Preliminarily, the motive appears to be a targeted robbery.  The suspects robbed El-Atari of several items.  They then shot him and fled.

The suspects are both charged with first degree murder and second degree murder. They are in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no bond status.
