Prince George’s County Police Department Homicide Unit detectives arrested a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a mother and daughter in Fort Washington on Tuesday. The suspect is 25-year-old Daron Maurice Boswell-Johnson of the 6500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Forestville. He has admitted his involvement in the murders. He is the child’s father.
On February 2, 2016, shortly before 7:00 am, patrol officers were called to the 1300 block of Palmer Road for the sound of gunshots. Once on scene, officers found 26-year-old NeShante Alesha Davis outside in a parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead on the scene. Officers found her child, 2-year-old Chloe Nichole Davis-Green, in a nearby car, also suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The preliminary investigation reveals Johnson had gone to confront Davis about child support issues.
He faces two counts of first and second degree murder. He’s expected to be held on a no bond status.
