PGPD Investigating Homicide of Mother and Daughter in Fort Washington

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating the double homicide of a mother and her daughter that occurred this morning in Fort Washington. They are identified as 26-year-old NeShante Alesha Davis and 2-year-old Chloe Nichole Davis-Green of the 1300 block of Palmer Road in Fort Washington. 

On February 2, 2016, shortly before 7:00 am, patrol officers were called to the 1300 block of Palmer Road for the sound of gunshots.

Once on scene, officers found Davis suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  She was pronounced dead.  Officers found her child, Davis-Green, in a nearby car, also suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

From the scene, Interim Chief Hank Stawinski told reporters investigators are pursuing viable leads and added, “This is a profoundly sad day and my prayers go out to the family for a crime that, frankly, shocks the conscience.”

Detectives are working to identify a motive and suspect(s) in this case.
