PGPD Charges Suspect in Seat Pleasant Fatal Shooting

The Prince George’s County Police Department arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting in Seat Pleasant on Thursday. The suspect is 19-year-old Sammie Warren of the 5400 block of Livingston Terrace in Oxon Hill. The victim is 19- year-old Marcus Fogg of Irvington Street in Oxon Hill.

On February 11, 2016, at about 1:35pm, patrol officers from the Seat Pleasant Police Department and the Prince George’s County Police Department responded to the 6700 block of James Farmer Way for a shooting. When they arrived, they found Fogg inside a home suffering from a gunshot wound. He died several hours later at a hospital.

Warren and the victim had been at a friend’s home on James Farmer Way. The preliminary investigation reveals Warren unintentionally shot his gun, striking the victim. He has admitted his involvement in the fatal shooting.

Warren is charged with involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment and gun charges. He’s in custody of the Department of Corrections on a $150,000 bond.
