PGPD Investigates Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Clinton

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Clinton. The victim is 71-year-old Abulhasan Ansari of Barnwood Lane in Potomac.

On February 3, 2016, at about 8:45 pm, patrol officers were called to the 9100 block of Piscataway Road for a collision involving a pedestrian. When they arrived, the officers found the victim suffering from critical injuries. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The preliminary investigation reveals the striking minivan was heading westbound on Piscataway Road when it struck Ansari as he was crossing the street. He was not in a crosswalk at the time. The driver of the minivan remained on scene. He was not hurt.
