Detectives Release Photo of Suspect Wanted in Connection With Assault in College Park




Prince George’s County Police detectives are asking the community for assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with a recent assault in College Park. Through their investigation, detectives obtained surveillance images of the suspect and are releasing the photos to the public today in hopes of making an arrest in the case.  

 
The preliminary investigation reveals the suspect approached an adult female in the 4400 block of Guilford Drive on August 6th at approximately 10:00 pm. The suspect asked the victim to help him find his lost dog. After initially declining to help, the suspect approached the victim approximately 30 minutes later and again asked for her assistance. As the suspect and victim walked together, the suspect grabbed the victim from behind and attempted to drag her to a nearby parking lot. The suspect released the victim when a witness shouted at the suspect. The victim was not physically injured. At this time, there are no additional reported incidents of this nature in the area.
