Prince George’s County
Police Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a
fatal shooting that occurred in the City of
Hyattsville early Thursday morning. The victim is 38-year-old Dante Campbell of Hyattsville.
Preliminarily, this does not appear to be a random shooting.
On August 1st,
at approximately 3:40 am, officers with the City of Hyattsville Police
Department responded to the 4600 block of
Burlington Road for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, the officers
discovered Campbell outside of a home suffering from gunshot wounds. He was
taken to the hospital where he died a short time later.
Detectives are working
to establish a motive and identify suspect(s).
The Prince George’s
County Police Department investigates all homicides in the City of Hyattsville.

Detectives de la Unidad de Homicidios investigan
una fatal balacera que ocurrió en la Ciudad de Hyattsville temprano en la
mañana del pasado jueves. La víctima fue identificada como Dante Campbell de 38
años de edad y vecino de Hyattsville. Se ha determinado de manera preliminar
que no parece tratarse de un tiroteo al azar.
El pasado 1ro de agosto a eso de las 3:40 am
oficiales de la Policía de la Ciudad de Hyattsville acudieron a la cuadra 4600
de Burlington Road ante un reporte de balacera. Al llegar, los oficiales
encontraron a Campbell con heridas de bala fuera de un hogar. Le llevaron al
hospital en donde murió poco después.
Al momento los detectives se encuentran
investigando para establecer un motivo e identificar a un sospechoso(s).
El Departamento de la Policía del Condado de
Prince George investiga todos los homicidios que ocurran en la Ciudad de
Hyattsville.
