Training Academy Graduation Adds Forty-Six to PGPD Ranks

Prince George’s County, Maryland…County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III and Police Chief Mark A. Magaw, along with other public safety officials, hosted the graduation of fifty police officers from the Training Academy last night.  The ceremony was held at Henry A. Wise High School in Upper Marlboro.  Basic Training Session #119 graduated forty-six new Prince George’s County Police Department officers, three City of Bowie Police Department officers, and one Maryland National Capitol Park Police Department officer.

“These young men and women represent the future of law enforcement in Prince George’s County.  I take great pleasure in welcoming these fine young officers into the law enforcement family”, said Chief Mark Magaw.
