PGPD to Canvass Kettering Community in Amber Stanley Murder Investigation


Homicide detectives with the Prince George’s County Police Department will go door to door in the Kettering community tonight to pass out Crime Solvers flyers regarding the murder of Amber Stanley. Detectives continue to follow leads and solidify information in this case and hope to gain new information from neighbors.

Detectives will concentrate their efforts in the area around the home of the teenager who was killed in the summer of 2012.  At about 10:30 pm on August 22, 2012, PGPD patrol officers were called to the 100 block of Chartsey Street for a shooting.  Upon their arrival, patrol officers found Stanley fatally shot inside her home.  The 17 year old was pronounced dead on the scene.
