A suspect wanted in connection with Sunday’s homicide in Landover is now in custody. He’s 23-year-old Edward Moore of the 2500 block of Kirtland Avenue in District Heights. The victim is 39-year-old Felando Deon Johnson of Henderson, NC. Detectives are looking for additional suspects. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.

On September 20, 2015, at about 10:30 pm, patrol officers were called to the 2400 block of Greeley Place for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Johnson suffering from gunshot wounds. He died a short time later at a hospital. A second victim was also shot. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Preliminarily, the investigation reveals Moore and at least two other suspects were involved in Johnson’s murder. Detectives believe this began as a robbery. Moore is charged with First Degree Murder. He was arrested in Northeast, Washington, DC on September 23, 2015, where he remains in custody pending extradition to Prince George’s County.
