PGPD Investigates Fatal Collision Involving Scooter

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision involving a scooter in Capitol Heights. The victim is 52-year-old Robert Peryear Jackson of Brooks Drive in Forestville.

On September 27, 2015, at about 11:30 am, patrol officers were called to Marlboro Pike at Capitol Heights Boulevard for the report of a collision. When they arrived, they found Jackson suffering from critical injuries. He died of his injuries on October 1, 2015.

The preliminary investigation reveals a car heading southbound on Marlboro Pike attempted to make a left turn onto Capitol Heights Boulevard. The driver turned into Jackson’s path. Jackson had been on a scooter heading northbound on Marlboro Pike. The car’s driver was not hurt.
