PGFD Rules Seat Pleasant House Fire Arson; PGPD Investigating Deaths of Two Men in Home


The Prince George’s County Fire Department has ruled a recent house fire in Seat Pleasant an arson. The Prince George’s County Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths of two men who died in that fire. PGPD investigators today identified the victims. Their names will be released once their families are notified. Detectives are actively working to determine who set the fire. 
The fire was started in a vacant single-family home in the 6200 block of Foote Street in Seat Pleasant last Thursday morning. Fire department personnel discovered the two victims as they worked to extinguish the flames. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the men died of smoke inhalation. Detectives are awaiting a ruling by the OCME on manner of death.
