This evening, Homicide Unit detectives will canvass a Riverdale neighborhood as part of their investigation into the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Shauntese Gedeon of Riverdale. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On January 29, 2021, at
approximately 10:30 pm, patrol officers responded to the report of a shooting
in the 5300 block of Hamilton Street. The victim was located in a parking lot
suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead a short time
later at a hospital.
Investigators are working
to determine a motive in this case. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe
this was a random crime.
The canvass will begin at
6:00 pm in the 5300 block of Hamilton Street.
