Detectives Investigating Homicide in Temple Hills

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who shot and killed a man Saturday in Temple Hills. The victim is 37-year-old Joseph Bryant Carney of Temple Hills.

On February 27, 2021, at approximately 5:20 pm, officers responded to the 2300 block of Iverson Street for the report of a shooting. Once on scene, officers located the victim in a parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and determine a motive in this case.

Detectives Investigan Homicidio en Temple Hills

La Unidad de Homicidios de la Policía del Condado de Prince George’s busca identificar y arrestar al sospechoso que mató a tiros a un individuo el sábado en Temple Hills. La víctima fue identificada como Joseph Bryant Carney, de 37 años de edad y vecino de Temple Hills.

El 27 de febrero de 2021, a eso de las 5:20 pm, nuestros oficiales acudieron a la cuadra 2300 de Iverson Street tras recibir información sobre un tiroteo. Al llegar a la escena, los oficiales hallaron a la víctima con múltiples heridas de bala en un área de estacionamiento. A este le trasladaron a un hospital en donde le declararon muerto poco después. La víctima fungía como guardia de seguridad del complejo cuando le dispararon. Su vehículo, un sedán de cuatro puertas, fue robado.
