Investigators Release Details of Vehicles Possibly Connected to Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run in Forestville

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is asking for the community’s assistance with an active investigation into a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run in Forestville last month. The deceased pedestrian is 64-year-old Jeannette Diggs of Forestville.

On March 15, 2022, at approximately 8:35 pm, patrol officers were called to the 3300 block of Walters Lane for a report of a pedestrian collision. Once on scene, they discovered Diggs unresponsive in the roadway. She was pronounced deceased a short time later at a hospital.

The preliminary investigation suggests multiple vehicles may have struck Diggs as she crossed the street. Investigators are looking for two vehicles that may be involved. One is described as a newer model, two-door, red Mercedes. The second is a silver four-door Cadillac. These vehicles could have had front end damage, focused on their driver’s sides.

Investigators would like to identify these vehicles and speak to their drivers to determine involvement.
