The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision in Oxon Hill. The deceased driver is 86-year-old James Charles Johnson of Washington, DC.
On October 14, 2022, at approximately 2:45 pm, officers responded to the area of Livingston Road and Crisfield Drive for a collision involving four vehicles.
The preliminary investigation revealed Johnson was traveling eastbound on Livingston Road, when for reasons under investigation, he collided with a second vehicle, crossed the double yellow line, and struck a third vehicle. Johnson’s vehicle came to rest after striking a fourth vehicle.
Johnson was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died on October 15, 2022. One of the other involved drivers suffered what are believed to be minor injuries. The other two drivers were not injured.
