The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the circumstances of a fatal shooting on Friday. The victim is 45-year-old Aiesha Nickens of Washington, DC. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On
December 1, 2023, at approximately 11:00 pm, officers responded to a shooting
in the 4800 block of Marlboro Pike in the unincorporated section of Capitol
Heights. Officers located the victim in a parking lot suffering from gunshot
wounds. She was taken to a hospital where she died a short time later.
Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a
suspect(s).
