PGPD Investigating Fatal Shooting

Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Sunday morning in Laurel. The victim is 21-year-old Desmond Lowe of Germantown. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On July 7, 2024, at approximately 12:10 am, officers responded to the 13000 block of Mistletoe Springs Road for a shooting. Once on scene, they located Lowe and another adult male in an apartment building suffering from gunshot wounds. Lowe was pronounced dead on the scene. The second adult male was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).

PGPD Investiga Tiroteo Fatal
Los detectives de la Unidad de Homicidios están investigando un tiroteo fatal que ocurrió el sábado por la mañana en Oxon Hill. La víctima es Tyrone Jones, de 45 años, de Washington, DC. Se ofrece una recompensa de hasta 25,000 dólares por información que conduzca a un arresto y acusación en este caso.

El 6 de julio de 2024, aproximadamente a las 10 a.m., oficiales respondieron a la cuadra 800 de Southern Avenue por un tiroteo. Una vez en la escena, localizaron a Jones en un estacionamiento sufriendo heridas de bala. Fue trasladado al hospital donde poco tiempo después fue declarado muerto.
