PGPD Investigating Fatal Shooting

The Homicide Unit is leading the investigation into a fatal shooting that took place Tuesday night in the Forestville area. The victim is 20-year-old Diontre Mackall of Washington, DC. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On July 2, 2024, at approximately 10:05 pm, officers responded to the 3100 block of Lakehurst Avenue for a shooting. Mackall was located inside of a home suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. A second man was transported to a hospital with a gunshot wound that is not considered life-threatening. A third man was treated on the scene for a graze wound.
Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).

PGPD Investiga Tiroteo Fatal
 La Unidad de Homicidios está liderando la investigación de un tiroteo fatal que tuvo lugar el martes por la noche en el área de Forestville. La víctima es Diontre Mackall, de 20 años, de Washington, DC. Se ofrece una recompensa de hasta 25,000 dólares por información que conduzca a un arresto y acusación en este caso.

El 2 de julio de 2024, aproximadamente a las 10:05 p.m., agentes respondieron a la cuadra 3100 de Lakehurst Avenue por un tiroteo. Mackall fue localizado dentro de una casa sufriendo heridas de bala. Fue declarado muerto en la escena. Un segundo hombre fue trasladado a un hospital con una herida de bala que no se considera potencialmente mortal.
