PGPD Investigating Fatal Collision in College Park

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision that occurred Tuesday afternoon in College Park. The decedent’s identity will be released once the next of kin has been notified. 

On September 16, 2025, at approximately 2:25 pm, officers responded to the area of University Boulevard and Baltimore Avenue in College Park for a collision involving a scooter.

The preliminary investigation indicates the scooter was traveling westbound on University Boulevard, when for reasons still under investigation, the operator lost control of the scooter and struck a median. The operator was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
