PGPD Investigating Multi-Vehicle Fatal Collision in Adelphi

 The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a multi-vehicle fatal crash involving a motorcycle that occurred late Tuesday night in Adelphi. The adult male operator of the motorcycle, an adult male driver of another vehicle, and an adult female passenger all died at the scene. Their identities will be released once families have been notified.

On July 14, 2026, at approximately 11:25 pm, officers responded to the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Metzerott Road for a collision involving three vehicles. The driver and passenger of one of the involved vehicles were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the motorcycle and one of the involved vehicles were traveling northbound on New Hampshire Avenue approaching Metzerott Road when, for reasons now under investigation, a third involved vehicle, which was attempting to make a left turn onto Metzerott Road, collided with them.
